How we help

 

  • Parent Carer Support

Knowing  you  are  not  alone  on  what  can  be  a  difficult  journey  can  make  all  the  difference.  At  SPACE  we bring together  parent-carers  at  coffee  mornings,  social  events and at  play  sessions.  This peer support, along  with training in areas  such  as  sign  language, wellbeing  and  behaviour  management,  provides 

 

  • Training for Parents and Carers

Navigating the world of ’special needs’ as a parent can be a daunting experience. Here at SPACE we aim to be a ’one stop shop’ where information is readily available. We offer training in areas such as wellbeing, communication transitions and EHCPs we aim to empower parents, making them stronger and more able to deal with struggles they face.   • We offer fully funded counselling sessions for parent carers. These can be at the centre or online/over the phone. Our counsellors are highly experienced and trained, BACP registered and the service is confidential with the counsellor.
