Better Together
for Carers and Older People
From January 2025 Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust are pleased to be working with Snow Angels and OPAL to provide a new service called Better Together for Carers and Older People. This service combines telephone, online, and in-person support for carers and older people living in Cheshire West and Chester.

Cheshire & Warrington Carers Trust
Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust provides a wide range of information, advice, and support services for carers. They offer phone, face to face, and online opportunities for carers to meet each other for mutual support. The trust is lead provider for the Better Together Service.
Snow Angels Cheshire
Snow Angels are a local social enterprise which supports older people to continue to live independently and keep well. They operate schemes across Cheshire and work with a range of local organisations. As part of the Better Together Service Snow Angels will be supporting older people with hospital discharge.

Information & Advice
Our Contact Line is available for initial information and to register with our services.
Our quarterly newssheet provides information on our groups and events. Throughout the year we will be holding local information and support sessions across Cheshire West and Chester.
Peer Support
We run monthly support groups for carers to meet up with other people in similar situations in Northwich, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Frodsham, and Neston. A new group in Winsford will be opening in February 2025. More details are available in our Newssheet.
Activities for Carers
'Time for Me' activities funded through the CLCC grants offer opportunities for carers to take time out from their caring role, meet new people and take part in fun activities. Contact breaks@cheshireandwarringtoncarers.org for more information.
Referral and Signposting
There is a wealth of information available both locally and nationally through specialist organisations and groups. We will, wherever possible, ensure carers and older people making contact with us have access to these valuable sources of support.
