Trustees of Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust have recently adopted a Capybara!
"Known for their caring nature, often carrying other animals in the wild we saw fit to adopt a Capybara at Chester Zoo. The Capybara is the largest of the rodent family, often referred to as a large Guinea Pig. Semi-Aquatic, they are good swimmers and can submerge for up to 5 minutes. Adopting a Capybara also supports conservation research and influences sustainability; Capybaras are threatened by deforestation, habitat deconstruction and illegal poaching. Next time you visit Chester Zoo, have a look for our plaque."
